LABORATORY

  • Environmental Analyst

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Environmental Scientist (Mountainside, NJ) Determine the environmental impact of corporate practices ensuring regulatory compliance. Work with EPA certified method 624, 8270, ISM1.3, SOM1.3. Troubleshoot and maintain GC/MS instruments, Archon Autosampler and Eclipse Concentrator in operating condition. Analyze and provide quality data & statistics to clients determining on cleaner fuel alternations that comply with environmental regulations. Calculate risks of environmental hazards. Perform quality analysis/control duties, and check MDL, LOD and LOQ in house recovery limits. Adjust and maintain department production during regulation audits by NJ DEP, DOD, CLP EPA. Responsible to analyze remedial site samples. Prepare analytical reports by collecting and interpreting data of superfund site projects or remediation projects. Design methodology and tests; analyze samples and data; and prepare plans of action. Use LIMS system to determine nature and extent of contamination of hazardous waste sites. Conduct Hazard Ranking System scoring, remedial investigation, feasibility studies, remedial design and treatability studies. Responsible for Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) as per NJDEP, NYDEP, EPA and EIRPMS guidelines. Maintain integrity of data generated under the contract used to make decisions regarding public health and environmental welfare. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Chemistry with 1 year experience. Familiar with EPA certified methods 624, 8270 ISM1.3 and SOM1.3. Experience in maintaining regulatory compliance in MDL, LOD, and LOQ. Experience in LIMS system for reporting and Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD). Experience in data analysis & interpretation of environmental contaminants in water, soil and waste samples.   • GCMS and GC Analyst

    Outstanding opportunities to develop skills in a state-of-the-art work environment utilizing GC and GCMS 5973/6890 instrumentation. Candidates should have a minimum of one year experience in the analysis of water and soil samples by EPA 500, 600 and/or 8000 series methods. A BS degree in Chemistry or a related science required.

  • HPLC Analyst

    Opportunity to join a growing HPLC team. Qualified candidates must have at least one year HPLC experience. Method development skills and experience with method SW846 8310 is a plus. Will consider Environmental Laboratory GC or GC/MS experience. A BS degree in Chemistry or a related science required.

  • Lab Technician

    Entry-level position for a 2 or 4-year science-degreed candidate to learn organic extractions, metals prep or wet chemistry analysis. Will train a bright, self-motivated candidate with an interest in environmental science. Shift flexibility to include days, evenings and/or weekends.

  • Analytical Chemist

    MS degree in Chemistry or related field with at least 2 years experience with GCMS, HPLC in analytical Lab. Candidate will develop and validate analytical methods, maintain and calibrate all analytical lab equipments, write and review Standard Operating Analytical Test Methods, SOP, and validation protocols.

CLIENT SERVICES

  • Project Manager

    Expansion of our client services department has created a growth opportunity for an environmental professional to manage all aspects of client services. Project Managers are the central point of communications for our clients and are responsible for project logistics, scheduling, tracking and communicating the needs of the client to the laboratory.

    Requires a BS degree in chemistry or a related science and at least 2 years environmental laboratory Project Management experience. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, in addition to a demonstrated ability to provide outstanding client service.

PART-TIME & COOPERATIVE EDUCATION

Part-time and Cooperative Education opportunities are available for candidates with college-level chemistry coursework and flexible work schedules to assist in entry-level laboratory duties, general clerical work and sample management. Shift flexibility to include days, evenings and/or weekends.
